The Service Srl, a safety system company, is the exclusive dealer of the “Pedone Sicuro“ (“Safe Pedestrian”) patented system for the protection of vulnerable users (Patent nr. 1370960).
WHAT IT IS
PEDONE SICURO is a signaling system for pedestrian crossings (not yet controlled by a traffic light plant) made up of photocells that detect the presence of pedestrians on the sidewalk just before the crossing.
HOW IT WORKS
The flashing lights installed on poles close to pedestrian stripes at a distance of about 40 m are activated, in order to alert coming drivers of the presence of pedestrians. In case of no pedestrians, the device remains inactive.

An idea of great social utility in full compliance with all EEC road safety regulations. The system consists of:
2 light signals
To place as pre-signal at about 40 m from the pedestrian crossing
4 light signals
Placed on all perimeter sides of the pedestrian crossing
Photocells for detection of pedestrians
An electronic system
A management system called “Jordi” that, once a pedestrian is detected, activates the led lamps.
PEDONE SICURO is combined with an independent energy recharging system by means of photovoltaic panel.
